Plecos, ancistrus and other suckermouth catfish have high vegetable matter requirements that are not met by standard flake or pellet foods. Our algae wafers are formulated with a high spirulina and algae content to replicate the natural diet of these species, supporting healthy growth, digestion and colouration.

Suitable for Loaches, Snails & Shrimp

Algae wafers are also readily accepted by loaches, nerite snails, mystery snails, amano shrimp and other invertebrates. Their slow-dissolving formula means they remain intact long enough for slower-moving invertebrates to graze at their own pace without fouling the water.

Sinking Formula

Unlike floating flakes and pellets, algae wafers sink rapidly to the tank bottom where bottom-dwelling fish and invertebrates naturally feed. This ensures your bottom feeders receive adequate nutrition even in tanks with competitive mid-water or surface feeders.
